Domingo González will deliver a technical training workshop on two-piece cans at World Can Experience 2026, which will take place at Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre in Dubai, from January 21 to 23, 2026.
This is one of the most highly anticipated training sessions in the metal packaging sector: an intensive course on the manufacturing of two-piece beverage cans. Domingo González, founder and president of BetterCans, LLC.
González, with an extensive career in leading companies such as Nestlé and Alcoa Inc., has been confirmed as the official 2PC Trainer for the World Can Experience – Dubai 2026 event. His company, BetterCans, specializes in technical consulting for the metal packaging industry, with a particular focus on aluminum can production lines and ends for ready-to-drink (RTD) beverages.
The training program will be structured over three themed sessions:
• Wednesday: Troubleshooting (9:00 – 10:30 a.m.). A practical approach to problem-solving in high-speed can production lines.
• Thursday: Metal Spoilage Reduction Program (9:00 – 10:30 a.m.). Reducing metal waste in two-piece lines: sources, economic impact, and best practices.
• Friday: Fundamentals (9:00 – 11:00 a.m.). Key fundamentals for an efficient forming process: tooling interaction, lubrication, and other critical factors.
The training is aimed at technicians, operators, and plant managers in the aluminum packaging sector and is part of an ambitious international program of technical updates and networking that promises to bring together the industry’s key players.
